The CP Info Project

The CP Info Project launches; an exciting new development for the CP community

The CP Info Project is funded as part of a National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) Information, Linkages and Capacity Building (ILC) funding round.

We are a consortium led by Cerebral Palsy Australia, Ability First Australia, the Cerebral Palsy Alliance and the Cerebral Palsy Support Network that has been funded to establish a national online platform to increase the quality of information available to people with cerebral palsy, their families, support providers, key NDIS roles, the community and mainstream services.

The project will develop information resources informed by evidence and consultation with people with cerebral palsy, carers, and key people that most impact their lives. The gap between the needs of people with cerebral palsy and current information resources will be the primary focus of resource development.

The consortium is committed to embracing leading and emerging technological solutions in the presentation and distribution of information. Outputs of the project will focus on key life stages and transition points and ensure information is provided in easily accessible formats.

Underpinned by strong existing partnerships across the sector, we will ensure the collation and circulation of credible and contemporary information and evidence which will meet diverse needs across Australian communities.

The CP Info Project is fundamental to the delivery of a key element of the recently launched Australian and New Zealand Cerebral Palsy Strategy: to promote inclusion and active participation in all aspects of life, from an individual level to a community and society level, for people with cerebral palsy and their families.

The project will run till October 2022, with a view to achieving long term sustainability for the platform.
